Park Policies

We want all of our guests to have fun and enjoy themselves while visiting our park.
Please be aware, these policies apply to all guests staying at the Blue Lake TOP 10 Holiday Park.

Arrival and Departure Times

Check in time is from 2pm.

Departure time is by 10am, late departures may result in an additional fee.

If you are arriving later than 10:00pm, we ask that you contact our reception staff during office hours to make alternative check-in arrangements.

Charges, Deposits and Payments

A one night’s deposit is required for all reservations. For all peak season bookings, a non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking. Payments can be made by Visa or Mastercard.

Full payment is required at check-in time.

Any excessive cleaning, above the normal level of cleaning, due to the room being left in an unacceptable state, will be charged off your credit card.

Damage to holiday park property should be reported immediately. Assessments are done upon full cleans after check outs and non-reported damage will be automatically charged for any repairs or replacements (fair wear and tear accepted).

Cancellations

All cancellations must be received in writing.

For bookings made directly with Blue Lake TOP 10 Holiday Park:

Deposits will be refunded if cancellation is made at least 21 days prior to the arrival date. A cancellation fee of $35.00 will be generated on all reservation deposits paid when cancelling. Cancelling group bookings will incur a cancellation fee of $35.00 per site/unit.

All peak season deposits are non-refundable at any time.

No refunds will be given to guests checking out of the Park early, including due to weather disruptions.

Cancellations due to exceptional circumstances will be taken into consideration.

If you have booked through a third party – please refer to your booking confirmation email for the cancellation terms that apply to your booking.

Group Bookings

We reserve the right to charge a bond to all groups, refundable after departure if all rules are adhered to.

Reservations are a contract between Rotorua Blue Lake TOP 10 Holiday Park and the person named on the reservation and is not transferable to any other person. This means that the named person must occupy the roofed accommodation/site booked for the duration of the contract and is ultimately responsible for all occupants and visitors.

For group bookings this means one person is ultimately responsible/liable for groups behaviour and damage. Amendments to confirmed group bookings may incur a $35.00 admin fee, per change.

Group Deposits and Cancellations

A 50% deposit is required within 7 days to secure your booking.

In the event of a cancellation:

  1. Deposits will be refunded 60 days prior to arrival, minus a $50 cancellation fee per unit/site.
  2. 50% of the deposit is refundable between 60-30 days prior to arrival.
  3. Full balance is due 30 days prior to arrival and is then completely non-refundable.
  4. We also have a no refund policy once checked in.

Group bookings are considered to be four or more units/sites booked together.

Minimum Stays and Tariffs

Minimum stay periods may apply to weekends, public holidays and peak season.

Our tariffs are reviewed annually for the new season. Please be aware prices may change when booking in advance from one season to the next. Prices are subject to change without prior notification.

Child Ages

Child ages are 2 to 14 years inclusive – where child rates are offered. Children under 2 years old are free of charge.

Surcharges

A credit card surcharge of 2% applies to all Visa and Mastercard transactions. AMEX is not accepted by our park.

Pets

Dogs are allowed on camp sites by pre-arrangement only. No dogs are allowed in the park during Peak season (December to mid February) or public holiday weekends.

Dogs must be tied up on site at all times and can only be walked off the park.

As our holiday park is on DOC land, no pets other than dogs are allowed on the park at any time.

EV Charging

Please be aware that charging an electric vehicle is not permitted on our park at any time.

Visitors

Anyone wanting to visit a guest in the park will need register at Reception and pay a visitor fee of $5.00 per person, per day.

Visitor vehicles are not able to enter the park and must be parked offsite.

Visitor hours are 8am – 9pm.

Recycling

Please sort and place rubbish in the labelled bins provided.

Phone Reception

There is limited/no cell phone reception on site – see the Reception if you require assistance.

There is a long range phone available for emergencies only.

Fireworks and BBQ's

Only Gas BBQ’s are allowed in the park. Please make sure all BBQ’s are safe for use and gas is turned off after use. Strictly no open flame or charcoal fires.

Fireworks are not permitted in the Park at any time.

Guest Conduct

Quiet time in the park is from 10pm – 7am.

Excessive drinking and parties are prohibited. Objectionable behaviour or excessive noise could result in you being asked to leave the park without a refund.

Children under the age of 14 years must be supervised by a parent.

We reserve the right to refuse a reservation at any time from any person if we reasonably believe the person:

  • is not the person named on the reservation
  • is not the person named on the credit card or not authorized to use the card
  • is not able to pay for any additional charges
  • may cause damage to the property of the Park or other guests
  • may exhibit socially unacceptable behaviour
  • is younger than 18 years and not accompanied by a parent or responsible person over that age
  • is concealing a dog or other unauthorized animal

We reserve the right to eject guests from the Park who are deemed by management to be behaving in a socially unacceptable way; causing damage; disturbing other guests; using unacceptable language or otherwise breaking Park Rules. No refund will be given and charges will apply for any damage caused.

Gang insignia

Gang insignia including patches must not be worn or displayed in the park.

Caravans and Campervans

All caravans and campervans require a current Electrical Warrant of Fitness displayed and comply with LPG Standard (As/NZS3100). Management reserve the right to disconnect any caravan/campervan that does not have a current electrical warrant of fitness.

Emergency After Hours

For 24hr emergency assistance there is a phone located at the front of Reception that will connect you to a Manager. In the event of an emergency, staff will direct you to the assembly points outlined on the map.

Registered First Aiders are available on-site 24 hours.
